Teacher Career Choices

The National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) has released Teacher Career Choices: Timing of Teacher Careers Among 1992-93 Bachelor’s Degree Recipients ( http://nces.ed.gov/pubs2008/2008153.pdf). This report finds that about 13 percent of bachelor’s degree recipients were teachers at some point in the decade after graduation, and analyzes those individual`s majors, demographic characteristics, and teaching experiences.
